The basic purpose of hunter education is to reduce hunting incidents by teaching and promoting safe, legal, ethical and responsible hunting practices. Topics taught include:
1. Hunter Responsibility and Ethics,
2. Wildlife Conservation and Management,
3. Game and Fish Statutes and Regulations,
4. Game Care and Wildlife Identification,
5. Outdoor Safety.
This course is designed for students 12 years old and younger, hands-on learners, or individuals new to firearm handling.
· Class curriculum is written at a 4th grade reading level (age 9 and 10).
· Students must pass a 50 question multiple choice test.
· Students must pass a firearm handling practical.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, March 8
Dates:
Saturday/Sunday – March 16 & March 17
Time:
9:00 am –5:00 pm
Cost: $10 (online registration with Wyoming Game & Fish)
