Ceramics: Beginner Thursday Wheel Class

Get creative with clay!  Learn the art of wheel throwing, while creating a one-of-a-kind piece for yourself or to gift someone.  You will be instructed on throwing shapes (i.e. cylinder, vase, bowls) and trimming and glazing your piece.  You will come away from the class with two or three finished pieces. 

Day 1 – Practice: centering, opening, cylinder 

Day 2 – Throwing forms: mug, vase, bowl
Day 3 – Trimming/handles
Day 4 – Glazing 

Day 5 – Tea party (get projects)
